This individual will report into our Assistant General Manager and is responsible for designing, delivering, and managing employee training programs across the fulfillment center. This role identifies skill gaps, develops engaging curricula, participates in new hire orientation and onboarding, and reinforces workplace safety standards to maximize productivity and promote a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence.Job Type: Full-Time, ExemptLocation: 530,000 sq. ft. in Columbus, OH at 6085 Winchester Pike, Columbus, OH 43110Schedule: This role oversees an operation that runs Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. ET. While this position generally follows a schedule Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. ET, operational demands during peak and seasonal periods may require leaders to work additional hours beyond their regular schedule. Leaders are expected to maintain a flexible schedule and adjust their working hours as needed to support the business and their teams.Base Salary: $65,000 – $81,000 per yearPlease note: Training for this position will be Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET for the first week!ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and evaluate effective onboarding, upskilling, and compliance training programs aligned with organizational goalsCoordinate and deliver training for new hires and re-training for existing team members to ensure SOPs are followed and observedParticipate in new hire orientation, reinforcing workplace safety methods and introducing company processes, and performance expectationsManage all instructor-led training and facilitate new hire roundtables and train-the-trainer sessionsDevelop and distribute surveys, interviews, and questionnaires; facilitate the creation of interactive training content and assessmentsConduct regular training needs assessments to identify skill gaps across departmentsLead collaborative meetings with leadership to determine training needs and develop an administration processContribute recommendations for continuous learning and development needs; identify enhancements to current training curriculum to generate higher productivity, accuracy and safetyCrosstrain in various fulfillment center departments to perform multiple distribution-related functions and ensure well-rounded program designDevelop and maintain training documentation and records to track training compliance and implementation of best practicesEnsure all training materials, SOPs, and online resources are accurate and up-to-dateMonitor and track employee progress throughout the training lifecycle; analyze feedback and measure the effectiveness of training modulesLead informational meetings to prepare and educate team members on new processes and proceduresImmediately address all personnel and performance-related incidents that ariseCoordinate with other departments on processes and procedures to align on communication and best practicesAttend and participate in site Leadership meetingsLead by example and maintain professional standards in the workplace at all timesRequirementsHigh school diploma or GED equivalentAbility to push and pull objects up to 60 pounds of force independentlyAbility to stand and walk for up to 8-10 hours and up to 20,000 steps per day2-4 years of experience in instructional design, corporate training, or a supervisory/leadership role in a fulfillment, warehouse, or distribution environmentProven experience overseeing daily operations, delegating tasks, and ensuring adherence to productivity and quality standardsDemonstrated ability to train, coach, and develop associates to achieve departmental goalsWorking knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and standard operating proceduresStrong understanding of safety practices and ability to promote a safe and compliant work environmentFundamental understanding of inventory, supply chain, and logistics conceptsProficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, and Excel)Strong problem-solving and time management skills; strong attention to detailSuperior verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently, multitask, and follow process and standard proceduresPreferred QualificationsPrior experience collaborating cross-functionally to implement process improvements or operational initiativesFamiliarity with performance management, including conducting feedback sessions and supporting employee developmentExperience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or e-learning content development toolsWhy work with us:We have awesome benefits – We offer a wide variety of benefits to help support you and your loved ones.
