Our client, a leading food manufacturing organization specializing in snack production, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Technician to join their team. As a Quality Technician, you will be an integral part of the Quality Assurance department supporting the production process. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, proactive communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Chambersburg, PA

Pay Range: $20 an hour

Shift: 3rd shift 11pm-7am

What's the Job?

• Ensure compliance with GMPs, food safety standards, and company policies during production shifts.
• Conduct quality checks on raw materials, in-process, and finished products, including specific gravity, moisture, salt, and seasoning levels.
• Perform organoleptic evaluations for defects, color, and flavor to ensure product standards are met.
• Verify metal detector performance, check packaging integrity, and document conformance of GMPs.
• Identify out-of-spec products, document issues, and ensure proper segregation to prevent shipment of non-compliant items.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Quality Assurance or Food Handling roles.
• Prior experience working with quality control procedures in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work in high-temperature, wet, oily, and noisy environments safely.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
