Patient Care Technician (PCT) Neuro Cardiac Unit

If you want a hands-on healthcare role where every shift matters, this is it. As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) in the Neuro Cardiac Unit at Gateway, you'll be directly involved in patient care on a unit that handles some of the most complex and rewarding cases in the hospital.

You won't just be supporting careyou'll be part of the team delivering it. Working side-by-side with nurses, you'll help patients through critical moments of recovery, stabilization, and healing.

This is a high-acuity, fast-paced learning environment where you'll gain exposure to a wide range of conditions, including cardiac events, strokes, respiratory illnesses, infections, and multi-system medical complications. The unit is also a designated stroke unit and part of a certified Primary Stroke Center, meaning you'll be working where nationally recognized standards of care are met every day.

With central telemetry monitoring and a diverse patient population, this is a place where your skills grow quickly and your work is always meaningful.

You'll provide essential, hands-on care that patients depend on:

• Assist with bathing, hygiene, toileting, and linen changes
• Help patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning
• Take and record vital signs that guide clinical decisions
• Document patient information accurately in medical records
• Offer compassionate support, including care for patients at end of life

Real bedside experience in a highly respected acute care setting

Exposure to diverse, complex medical cases that build strong clinical skills

A collaborative team environment where PCTs are valued members of care delivery

A strong foundation for future growth in nursing, respiratory therapy, or other clinical careers

Basic Life Support: Health Care Provider certification within six months of hire

Completion of a high school education or equivalent (GED) preferred
