Qualifications The successful candidate must possess: Strong mechanical skills A proven commitment to a safe and efficient operation The ability to read, write, and communicate effectively The ability to adapt well to changes and be able to work in a wide variety of settings throughout all levels of the organization The ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts and endure prolonged standing and walking, up to 12 hours The ability to lift up to 50 pounds A belief in good maintenance practices His/her own hand tools Education High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience / Special Skills Maintenance experience Computer knowledge Welding / Cutting / Fabrication skills Ability to troubleshoot mechanical equipment Skills to safely operate forklifts and front-end loaders Knowledge of sugar factory processes and equipment Equipment lubrication process knowledge / experience The ability to read and understand basic blueprints and mechanical drawings
