Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 36 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a New York license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Centralus Health (Direct) and no current placement allowed at Program: Centralus Health (Direct).

• 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Centralus Health (Direct) and no current placement allowed at Program: Centralus Health (Direct).

• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Centralus Health (Direct) and no current placement allowed at Program: Centralus Health (Direct).

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Ability to read basic rhythm strips prior to arriving at the facility.

Unit Details: High-acuity, fast-paced medical-surgical/telemetry unit specializing in acute stroke and complex telemetry patients. Performs frequent neurological assessments, including NIH Stroke Scale. Monitors and interprets telemetry rhythms and responds to changes in real time. Ensures compliance with stroke core measures, including dysphagia screening, education, and care plans. Uses BCMA standards for medication administration. Manages admissions, discharges, and patient flow in a high-turnover environment. Works with primary and team nursing.
