Job Description At Mayo Clinic, you will become a vital member of a dynamic team in our Nursing Care Model, which combines Relationship‑Based Care with an evidence‑based approach to deliver individualized, patient‑centered care. This role is located in Jacksonville, FL. Location City: Jacksonville State: FL Remote: No Responsibilities Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for coordinating nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care. The RN supports professional nursing practice across settings and the continuum of care, meets patient and family needs, and functions within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model. The RN plans, implements, evaluates, and communicates all phases of nursing care for assigned patients, providing leadership through preceptor roles, informal and formal leadership roles, and quality improvement efforts. The RN delegates patient care according to skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability, and resource availability, and may participate in committees or projects. A subset of employees may be required to drive their personal vehicle as part of role responsibilities. Qualifications Graduate of a baccalaureate nursing program. One year of RN experience in an applicable care setting or one year of LPN experience at Mayo Clinic is preferred. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Experience working in a team environment. Computer skills required; prior experience with electronic medical record systems preferred. Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, holidays, weekends, and on‑call. Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the work setting. Demonstrated leadership, effective communication, and excellent critical thinking skills. Current RN license by applicable state requirements. Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) competency (requirements vary by state). Additional state licensure(s) and/or specialty certification/training as required.
