Travel RN - Med/Surg

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Nephrology/Medicine position requiring Med/Surg and Stepdown experience along with dialysis access site knowledge. Requirements Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required Med/Surg and Stepdown experience required Charge experience is a strong plus Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a Board Approved Program preferred Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques and procedures Strong verbal and written communication skills Responsibilities Work in the Medicine/Nephrology unit of a hospital environment Cares for a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex Requires familiarity with central line care and management, foley care and management, and end of life care Requires knowledge of proper dialysis site care, including avoiding use of an HD catheter or attempting to access a fistula for blood draws Day shift schedule 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients and documents patient responses to nursing interventions and treatments Assists physicians with patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments Obtains and monitors physiological data, observing and intervening as needed Administers medications and initiates, regulates, and monitors IV infusions and blood products Communicates care plans with patients and families throughout hospitalization and at discharge Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate Must reside outside a 50 mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position Traveler extensions are limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks, after which a 6 month separation is required before reapplying Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler
