About the Position

Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: Home Health Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Hours (08:00 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum 1 year required - Home Health experience preferred License: State license required - can be pending Certifications: CPR required Must-Have: No prior license or background hits Description: The Home Health Physical Therapist plans and administers medically prescribed physical therapy treatments for patients suffering from injuries, or muscle, nerve, joint, and bone diseases. The goal is to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability. Responsibilities include providing education and information to patients and caregivers. Participation in required discharge planning and completion of all required documentation according to policy is necessary. Direct patient participation in selected tasks to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance is expected. Mileage will be reimbursed at the IRS rate. The unit accommodates 6 to 7 weighted visits per day. The schedule is from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Weekends are for orthopedic cases only, with physical therapy coverage every 4th or 5th weekend. The facility welcomes first-time travelers. Experience with electronic health record systems is preferred. Compliance with regulations is essential, and there are no exceptions regarding license or background issues. Fit testing requirements must be met, and any history of fit test issues will disqualify candidates. Candidates must ensure they meet the necessary qualifications before applying.
