Syndicated Loan Servicing Team Lead

Overview Responsible for managing day-to-day activities of direct reports in Syndicated Servicing and/or performs very complex, critical functions/tasks. Also acts as a resource for department regarding areas of expertise. Assists manager in coordinating and prioritizing day-to-day tasks/functions in Synidcated Servicing, resolving procedural and technical issues. Demonstrate leadership abilities to manage small projects and potential for grooming into Manager Role. What You’ll Do All duties and responsibilities for Loan Servicing Specialist II Ensures that own work, as well as work of other teammates, is following applicable laws, regulations and guidelines Responsible for ensuring loan boarding requests and/or loan maintenance requests are completed according to Bank, regulatory and investor guidelines and forward findings, reports, and documents to lender or specified loan/branch assistant Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely quality assurance reviews are performed on loan boarding and critical loan maintenance Participate with Department Manager in review and selection of new hires Assist Manager in assessing training needs and ensuring procedures manuals are kept up to date and engage with Change Management as needed. Complete monthly one-on-ones with direct reports. Provide new-hire training, as well as assisting Manager in training needs and ensuring procedures manuals are kept up to date. Prepare periodic performance and quality metrics reports and provide to manager for review Approve timecards and vacation/leave requests for direct reports. Assist with pre-and-post-conversion-related activities. Assist with creating and updating Policies and Procedures for new and existing processes. Perform performance evaluations and coach, mentor and perform disciplinary action as required for direct reports under the guidance and approval of Department Manager Provide world-class service to internal and external clients with a sense of urgency and positive attitude Balance competing priorities and make sound business decisions within standard policy Adhere to Corporate and Loan Operations policies and procedures as prescribed Requirements For Success Education: College Degree preferred. Experience: Minimum four years of experience in Loan Operations/Loan Processing/Loan Administration. Previous leadership experience preferred. Participate in all required compliance training, as well as internal and external training programs, online training, meetings, or other education events assigned by Synidcated Servicing Team and Bank Leadership Required Skills: Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel In-depth knowledge of Retail loan documentation requirements Intermediate level knowledge of federal and state banking regulations Experience performing quality assurance reviews of various loan operations functions Ability to coach and motivate employees to improve performance, efficiency and team morale Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are required Demonstrate exceptional organizational and time management skills and the ability to balance competing priorities to meet multiple deadlines Self-starter who takes initiative and displays advanced analytical and administrative abilities, critical thinking, communication, and organization skills Exemplify behaviors in alignment with the bank’s vision, mission, and culture; exhibit professionalism at all times Advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills without direct guidance; ability to assist others with problem solving Preferred Skills: AFS Experience Conditions of Employment Must be able to pass a criminal background and credit check FLSA Status: Exempt Supervisory Responsibility: This position does manage employees and is responsible for the coaching, development, and performance management of those employees. Physical requirements: sedentary, climbing, standing, stooping, or typing Position requires schedule flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed. This position may require up to 25% travel.
