Job Details Location: Westpointe Apartments and Townhomes – Urbandale, IA 50322 Position Type: Full Time (30-40 hours per week) Education Level: High School Salary Range: $22.00 – $22.00 per hour Travel: Up to 25% Shift: Day (including weekends) Job Category: Real Estate Reporting To: Community Manager Seniority Level: Entry level Role Overview Leasing Consultant responsible for responding to inquiries and leads from prospective clients, identifying potential renters, marketing, leasing, and renewing apartment leases in accordance with company standards and Fair Housing guidelines. Provides excellent customer service and represents the company professionally. Key Responsibilities Ensure the daily marketing, administrative, and financial operation of the property under the direction of the Community Manager. Maintain a strong understanding of the community and local market competitor specials and floor plans. Have comprehensive working knowledge of all aspects of leasing units and documents in accordance with company standards and Fair Housing guidelines. Process lease application paperwork for approval and prepare new lease contracts. Inspect target and/or show units and prepare for tours of vacant, model, and common/amenity areas. Inspect pre-leased apartments before move‑in and promptly communicate any concerns to the Service Manager or Community Manager. Utilize and promote all third‑party online leasing programs appropriately. Log all prospect information and notifications accurately into the property management software. Check, respond to, and document community and individual emails, voicemails, and text messages. Stay up to date with all promotion and leasing incentives. Assist with completing the Move Out Vacant Inspection Checklist accurately and within the specified deadline per company standards. Post notices to vacate and other community communications when applicable. Assist with daily community inspections to ensure policies are followed and address any issues when applicable. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience in a customer‑facing or customer service role. Demonstrated sales and closing skills. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to work with a diverse group of people. Where required by law, must have a state leasing license or the ability to obtain the required license(s) within the required timeframe. Work Schedule: Monday‑Friday (schedule may vary). Some overtime may be required and ability to work extended hours including on‑call and/or participate in a rotating on‑call schedule as needed.
