Director of Administration

The Administrative Director provides leadership and operational oversight for Primary Care services, including associated medical practices, the Family Health Center, and the Family Medicine Residency. This role is responsible for service area planning, business development, operational performance, financial management, growth strategies, quality improvement, and alignment with organizational goals. The position collaborates with senior leadership, medical directors, physician groups, healthcare providers, and internal departments to improve patient access, quality outcomes, efficiency, and overall service performance. This role reports to the Vice President of Operations and works in partnership with clinical leadership for Primary Care. Education Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, nursing, or equivalent preferred. Experience Progressive healthcare system management experience required. Medical practice leadership experience preferred. Experience with Operational Excellence, Lean/Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies preferred. Strong understanding of business goals, ROI, cost modeling, and complex organizational management. Key Responsibilities Provide operational leadership for primary care practices and assigned healthcare departments. Oversee provider productivity, quality of care, patient access, experience, and financial performance. Develop and execute operational, financial, clinical, and growth strategies. Manage annual budgets and strategic business plans. Collaborate with physician, nursing, and administrative leaders to improve care delivery and achieve quality goals. Develop efficient processes focused on value-based care and improved patient outcomes. Analyze performance metrics and financial data to support operational decisions. Manage resources, service delivery efficiency, and patient satisfaction. Support supply chain initiatives and responsible adoption of new technologies. Develop strategies to increase revenue and expand market share. Collaborate with Finance and Managed Care Contracting on pricing and service strategies. Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. Build high-performing teams through leadership development, coaching, and continuous improvement. Represent the organization at professional meetings and maintain knowledge of healthcare trends. Qualifications & Skills Strong healthcare operations and leadership experience. Ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams in complex healthcare environments. Excellent strategic planning, communication, and relationship-building skills.
