If you are looking to be a part of an open, supportive team and receive exciting challenges that promote personal and professional growth, look no further than BNBuilders!The Project Engineer is responsible for reading and understanding the construction design documents and specifications, ability to perform construction cost estimates and quantity surveys for various scopes of work, overall trade management and coordination, and some level of exposure to BIM.Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 annuallyBenefits include group medical, vision, and dental insurance, company-paid short and long-term disability plans, group life insurance, AD&D plans, untracked/unmeasured vacation, sick leave, 9 paid holidays each year, paid parental leave, annual discretionary bonus, 401(k) savings plan, and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).Job Responsibilities:Coordinate with project architects, designers, owners, and field personnel.Generate Request for Information (RFI) and submittals.Manage project subcontractors.Act as the information hub to ensure continuity of work.Offer technical information to project supervisor to ensure work complies with applicable codes, drawings, and specifications.May coordinate change orders, expedite material and job site equipment, assist in preparation of estimates, and compile data to assist in analyzing project progress.Monitor and track project quality control metrics and activities on a regular basis; provide timely and accurate quality reports, and raise issues to Project Manager or Superintendent, as appropriate.Inspect all work to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.Qualifications:Graduate or pending graduate of a four-year degree program in Engineering or Construction Management.Full knowledge of computer software, i.e. Microsoft Office Suite.Working knowledge of Autocad or Revit a plus.Broad knowledge of LEAN and BIM techniques.Experience with BIM is a plus.Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.Good oral and written communication skills.Physical Demands:Capable of traversing over construction-type terrain when under development; moving through the construction site and the materials in place for use on the site; climbing ladders and temporary stairways; conducting visual inspections of quality of construction and materials being used in construction. Conduct jobsite walks to ensure successful project completion. Conduct jobsite walks to identify and eliminate safety hazards.Work Environment:BNB believes in collaboration, team-building, and a strong supervisor/employee relationship. To accomplish this, the duties of this role are not performed in a remote capacity, and we expect that all employees will complete work in an office/job site setting. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at the job site.
