Surgical Reprocessing TechnicianUnder general supervision of the Coordinator/Manager/Director, cleans, inspects, assembles, packages, disinfects, and sterilizes all surgical products used to support the surgical team in various departments. Documents and monitors all sterilization processes in assigned areas, including steam, ETOH, Sterrad, and high-level disinfectants. Ensures all monitoring methods are compliant with established standards. Supplies the needs of various departments by properly meeting and anticipating the instrumentation needs for pending cases. Receives, unpacks, shelves supplies, and maintains appropriate par levels with rotation sterile supply management principles. Works with surgical specialty teams to ensure all supplies for each patient are available when needed. Proactively coordinates the preparation of case carts according to preference cards for the supplies, equipment, instruments, and implants needed for each patient.
