The Work Itself The Portfolio Manager supports the VP of Portfolio Management in executing investment strategies, managing balance sheet risk, and optimizing portfolio performance within established investment policy guidelines. This role is ideal for someone analytical, detail‑oriented, and eager to grow into a more senior investment role. The Talent You Bring The Essential Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in fixed income securities trading and/or portfolio management, including direct exposure to ABS and MBS products. Strong understanding of fixed income instruments, bond math, derivatives, and mortgage-backed securities (MBS) and asset-backed securities (ABS). Ability to interpret economic data. Understanding of monetary policy and its impact on rates and shape of the yield curve Strong mathematical and analytical skills Proficiency with Bloomberg and Excel High attention to detail Additional Skills And Experience Are a Plus Master’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field 5-8 years of fixed income portfolio management experience Advanced understanding of Asset/Liability management principles Exceptional ability to effectively assess and continuously monitor portfolio risk exposures. Knowledge of sector/product-specific drivers Experience with SQL, PowerAutomate, PowerBI or similar data and reporting tools How We'll Have Your Back Catalyst Corporate’s compensation structure offers market-competitive base pay.
