Diagnostic Cardiac and Vascular Sonographer

This is a 13-week contract position.

Rotating shifts to include Days, Evenings, Weekends, Holidays, and Call.

The Diagnostic Cardiac and Vascular Sonographer will perform non-invasive imaging procedures, including echocardiograms and vascular duplexes, while maintaining a high level of patient care and equipment management. This role requires appropriate certification and experience, particularly in breast diagnostics.

Responsibilities:

• Perform all non-invasive imaging procedures in Cardiac or Vascular Laboratories, including echocardiograms, TEE, TTE, stress echo, and more.
• Ensure proper billing of procedures and prioritize patient scheduling.
• Obtain and provide information to patients regarding specific procedures.
• Document all procedures accurately and maintain thorough records for physician review.
• Notify the appropriate medical staff of any abnormal images or findings.
• Maintain equipment, work areas, and procedure rooms in a clean and orderly manner.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with health regulations at all times.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current certifications: BLS (AHA), Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echocardiography (RDCS-AE) via ARDMS.
• Breast imaging experience is required.
