Clinical Psychologist PositionState Hospital is seeking a Clinical Psychologist in Jamestown, ND. Be part of the solution to the behavioral health crisis. As a team member North Dakota Health and Human Services, you will ensure the most vulnerable have access to a high-quality healthcare system in which prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover.As a Clinical Psychologist for the ND State Hospital (NDSH), you will provide a broad array of services, involving complex cases requiring advanced expertise. You will provide psychological assessments, psychotherapy, and court testimony. You will also participate in consultation and training with individuals, families, agency staff, and, at times, community partners. If interested, you may also have the opportunity to supervise students.To thrive in this position, you should be comfortable with completing all components of psychological assessment and serving as an expert examiner. Previous experience providing consultation and training is beneficial to this position. Experience in forensic assessment and conducting evaluations is advantageous. HHS provides a supportive and robust training environment for a psychology resident or newly licensed psychologist. In addition to Board-approved supervision on site, HHS psychologists communicate across our system frequently and offer training and consultation, which allows for sharing expertise and knowledge. This support helps newer psychologists develop evaluation skills in specialty expertise areas that we use in completing psychological evaluations required through ND Century Code within HHS.The North Dakota State Hospital (NDSH), located in Jamestown, is a specialized psychiatric hospital that serves the whole state. Services focus on psychiatric rehabilitation, residential substance use disorders treatment, and residential treatment for sexually dangerous individuals. The keys to success are the 2800 committed, team members who are guided by a simple but powerful belief: when we lead with light, we create systems and services rooted in hope, clarity, and possibility.Minimum QualificationsTo be considered for the Psychologist position, you are required to have a Doctorate in Psychology and licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Psychologist by the ND Board of Psychologist Examiners, according to North Dakota Century Code Chapter 43-32 AND two (2) years of experience as a Licensed Psychologist. If unable to find qualified candidates, will consider filling this position with a Licensed Psychologist I, which requires a Doctorate in Psychology and licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Psychologist by the ND Board of Psychologist Examiners, according to North Dakota Century Code Chapter 43-32. If unable to find fully licensed candidates, will consider filling the position as a Psychology Resident which requires a Doctorate degree in Psychology and eligibility for a supervised psychological residency as determined by the ND Board of Psychologist Examiners.Application ProceduresYour resume should include information to demonstrate how you meet the minimum qualifications as posted.
