Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU

Registered Nurse PCU

Schedule: Nights, 3x12

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 26 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Telemetry/PCU monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition
• Cardiac post-procedural care
• Management of cardiac/vasoactive drips
• Respiratory care
• IV/central/PICC line care

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a step-down unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, recognizing any changes in health status.
• Administer medications and treatments per established protocols and guidelines.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care in compliance with facility standards.

Compliance / Notes:

• Time off requests must be submitted upfront and approved individually.
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays.
• License pending accepted, but candidates must apply for AK RN license within 48 hours of signing.
