Senior Accountant, SEC Reporting

Together, the team partners with leadership to provide insights, information, and guidance to make strategic and operational decisions, inform investors about our business model and progress, and ensure the company is financially healthy and consistently meeting our reporting obligations.We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our SEC Reporting team! As a member of the SEC Reporting team, you will work on the Company’s external reporting to various stakeholders, including quarterly and annual reports filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and statutory financial statements in compliance with local requirements. You will collaborate with other teams and business partners daily to ensure accurate and timely reporting.What you’ll do:Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of the Company's financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and SEC reporting standards, including preparing the financial statements and related disclosures and drafting MD&A for annual and quarterly filings.Prepare quarterly and annual SEC supporting our external reporting by collaborating with external auditors, executives, finance, legal, and investor relations to ensure such information is complete and accurate.Monitor, assess, and implement new accounting pronouncements and other reporting changes applicable to the company, with an emphasis on SEC external reporting.Stay up to date on changes and activities within the Company and industry to ensure the Company’s SEC reporting properly reflect any new developments.Maintain the relationship with external auditors in support of all annual audits and quarterly reviews.Partner with cross-functional teams to prepare relevant materials and presentations consistent with SEC filings, including analyst presentations and other materials.Coordinate and manage the preparation of ad hoc reports as required, including Environmental, Sustainability and Governance (ESG) disclosures and government financial surveys for external stakeholders.Partner with the international team to help prepare and review statutory financial statements in compliance with local requirements.Ad hoc reporting or technical assistance on transactions as needed.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Knowledge of SEC reporting requirements, with an understanding of US GAAPHigh level of organizational and critical thinking skillsSuperior attention to detail with a high sense of urgencyStrong work ethic with the ability to work extended hours during critical periodsManage a business process from start to finish with the ability to identify and communicate roadblocks or challenges to your manager with a problem-solving mindsetAbility to work under pressure and perform tasks concurrently in a deadline driven environmentA proactive, self-directed approach with the ability to multi-task, think creatively, and learn quickly in a fast-paced environmentAble to work independently as well as collaboratively with a teamExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organizationAble to work with cross functional teams, building meaningful business relationships along the wayExceptional analytical and Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.Minimum qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent years of experience3+ years of relevant experiencePreferred qualifications:CPA License, or in progressExperience in a Big 4 firm or Fortune 500 company experience with emphasis external reportingExperience with WorkivaDemonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive meaningful impactDemonstrated ongoing AI skill development and staying current with emerging AI technologiesIf you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation, please don’t be shy and provide us some information ."Default Together" Policy at Snap: At Snap Inc. we believe that being together in person helps us build our culture faster, reinforce our values, and serve our community, customers and partners better through dynamic collaboration. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.Zone A (CA, WA, NYC) :The base salary range for this position is $107,000-$161,000 annually.Zone B :The base salary range for this position is $102,000-$153,000 annually.Zone C :The base salary range for this position is $91,000-$137,000 annually.This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
