Job OverviewA law firm seeks a Tax Controversy Attorney in Sacramento, CA. The attorney will handle federal, state, and local tax disputes, including IRS and state tax audits, administrative appeals, and Tax Court proceedings. Duties Respond to agency inquiries and draft advocacy materials. Conduct legal research and analyze financial records. Advise clients on controversy strategy. Participate in administrative hearings and litigation. Collaborate with colleagues across various practice areas. Requirements Admitted to the California Bar. Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail. Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills. Education J.D. with an LL.M. in Tax or Tax Concentration from an ABA-accredited law school (preferred). Certifications California Bar admission. Skills Strong legal research and analytical skills.
