senior cloud security engineer

Job Title

Infrastructure Security: Harden systems, applications, and networks to protect against emerging threats. Collaborate with DevOps and IT teams to implement secure configurations and practices across on-premises and cloud environments.

Security Governance Support: Assist the CISO in enforcing security policies, standards, and procedures. Provide technical insights for regulatory compliance efforts, audits, and risk assessments (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS).

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, GCIH, CEH, OSCP) are highly desirable.

Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in security operations, incident response, and threat management. Strong background in network security, system hardening, and application security. Experience working in regulated environments such as healthcare is a plus.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, LogRhythm) and EDR solutions. Familiarity with scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash). Expertise in firewalls, IDS/IPS, and cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure). Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication skills. Team player with a proactive mindset and the ability to work independently.
