Tax Director Opportunity At RMW AccountingLaconia will be home base for the position. They will also have contact with the other two locations and staff (i.e. Lincoln, Franklin) - Laconia Office: Located at 501 Union Avenue, Suite 1, Laconia, NHRMW Accounting is a large regional firm with 19 offices currently. They have a growth plan to be at 40 offices in the next 5 years. They are PE backed and most of their additional locations will be through acquiring additional practices.The Tax Director will be in Lakes Area of NH where they have three offices: Lincoln, Franklin and Laconia.This is a hybrid role that will work towards 3 days in the office and 2 remote. While onboarding and getting up to speed, it may be 4-5 days to start.There are 8 employees at this location. The chosen applicant will have 12-20 years of experience. Complex tax issues. 70% individual tax returns, the balance will be corporate returns. (heavy partnerships and S Corp) This is a very good role for quality of life for a tax firm. Busy season is typically about 55 hours. Review and signing of individual, business, and fiduciary returns. Providing clients with tax related projections and consulting as needed, along with general planning. Working as a part of a team to solve problems, do research, and complete projects.Responsibilities:Review U.S. and multi-state income tax returns for business entities, including C?corporations, S-Corporations, partnerships, and fiduciary returns.Review U.S. and state individual income and gift tax returns.Prepare tax projections for individual and corporate clients.Conduct tax research as needed.Communicate with existing clients and colleagues regarding various tax matters.Engage in consulting and special projects as requested by clients.Requirements:8 or more years of relevant tax experience preferred.CPA requiredAbility to work well independently and with a team.Advanced computer skills on Microsoft platforms. UltraTax tax software and Practice CS are used but not required.Proficient with QuickBooks, and trial balance software.Strong interpersonal skills.Ability to meet deadlines while handling multiple client projects in a fast-paced environment.Desire to expand current knowledge base.
