About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty License: Active nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI Must-Have: Proficient with insulin, heparin, and Lasix drips Description: This position is for a registered nurse on a medical/surgical/telemetry unit. Shifts are three 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. Weekend and holiday shifts are included. No call required. The nurse may take IMCU patients if needed based on census. Proficiency with insulin, heparin, and Lasix drips is required. CPI, ACLS, and BLS certifications are mandatory. Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not eligible. The patient population includes cardiac, diabetes, congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, renal issues, general surgery, and orthopedics. The nursing team consists of RNs, LPNs, patient care technicians, certified nursing assistants, and unit secretaries. The nurse-patient ratio is 1 to 6. Travelers are expected to float to similar or lower acuity areas if needed.
