Compensation Range Hourly: $20.55 – $25.05 (based on experience, skills and competencies.) About This Job We are looking for a new Personal Banker to join our team at the Columbia Broadway location. Personal Bankers are the key ambassadors of the Commerce Bank brand, building long‑lasting relationships with customers, coworkers, and other business areas. Key Responsibilities Deliver an excellent customer experience in person and over the phone. Actively listen to customers and recommend appropriate solutions that match their needs. Educate customers on a variety of retail products and digital solutions. Ensure financial transactions are completed accurately and efficiently, in compliance with all policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Establish relationships with internal departments and refer customers to bank specialists when complex needs are identified. Earn additional income through a quarterly incentive program. Participate in ongoing training, tools and resources to further your career with Commerce Bank. Work Schedule Monday – Friday: 7:45AM – 5:45PM Saturday: 8:45AM – 12:15PM Essential Functions Interact with customers in person and on the phone to ensure their financial needs are met through needs‑based conversations and sales fulfilment. Actively listen, understand and make recommendations of products and services based on customer needs to achieve individual and team sales and services goals. Educate customers on retail products and digital solutions that enhance the experience and contribute to meeting sales goals. Ensure financial transactions are completed accurately and efficiently, in compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Identify complex financial needs and refer customers to bank specialists when appropriate. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong sales skills and ability to provide an excellent customer experience in person and by phone. Ability to meet personal and branch sales and customer service expectations. Motivated and organized self‑starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Adaptability to a variety of situations with an optimistic outlook aligned with our culture and core values. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Combination of education and experience required. 1+ years sales or customer service experience required. Experience in an environment with individual and team sales goals preferred. Position Details Position may be filled as a Personal Banker I or Personal Banker II, depending on experience and education. For this position, federal regulations require Commerce Bank to prepare an investigative consumer report that discloses credit history. Interested candidates will be asked to authorize the report. The compensation range estimate for Personal Banker I and II is $20.55 to $25.05 per hour. The position is eligible for additional compensation through a performance‑based incentive plan that correspond to meeting performance goals.
