Backend Developer

Salary: $170,000 - 210,000 per year Requirements:

• We require U.S. citizenship for this position.
• We require an active U.S. Government TS/SCI security clearance with CI Polygraph; employment is contingent on verification of clearance status.
• The role may be subject to U.S. export control laws requiring U.S. person status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
• We require a bachelors degree and at least five years of experience.
• Candidates should be proficient in Java and/or Python and related frameworks such as Spring Boot, Flask, or Django.
• Candidates should understand API architectures such as REST, GraphQL, and SOAP, and have experience with tools such as Postman or Swagger UI.
• Familiarity with SQL and/or NoSQL databases and version control systems such as Git is expected.
• Candidates should know software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum and be able to solve problems and work independently and collaboratively.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is expected, along with familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker or Kubernetes.

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable software applications and APIs using Java and Python, writing clean, efficient, well-documented code.
• Create and implement RESTful APIs and microservices, support secure and efficient system communication, and integrate third-party APIs and services.
• Use SQL and NoSQL databases, including systems such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL, to store and retrieve data.
• Work with frontend developers, product managers, and QA teams to define requirements, integrate components, and ensure functionality.
• Improve code and system performance, troubleshoot problems, and follow security best practices for data handling and API authentication.
• Where applicable, integrate cloud services and APIs, including AWS or Azure, for cloud-native solutions and deployments.
• Maintain, support, and enhance existing applications and APIs.
