Nuclear Medicine Technologist/CT/PET

A Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals to patients, operates imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images, and monitors patient care during procedures. They also maintain equipment, record data, and apply radiation safety measures.

• Rotating schedule 8-hour day
• Occasional overtime
• No weekends or call

• Great working environment in a PET/CT and SPECT/CT outpatient department at Specialty Services Center.
• Private office with M-F rotating schedule between the hours of 6am and 5pm.

Job Summary:

• Performs all duties with hybrid imaging in a PET/CT and SPECT/CT outpatient department
• Calculates, orders, administers and records radioactive isotopes
• Instructs patients on proper exam preparations
• Verify physician orders for procedures as well as properly identifying patient.
• Performs all required quality control procedures
• Maintains compliance with continuing education requirements

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: CNMT or ARRT(N) and NYS DOH (Nuclear Medicine) License, current CPR certification. NO PET experience necessary, will train.
• Preferred Qualifications: NMTCB(CT) or ARRT(CT).
