Job Summary Trane Technologies is hiring a Senior Controls Project Manager in Long Island City, NY! As a Senior Controls Project Manager, you will be responsible for project financials, administration, implementation, management, and customer satisfaction for all assigned projects within the Commercial HVAC Controls / Building Automation space. You will lead the project team through all facets of the project and will be the point of contact for all stakeholders. The portfolio of projects will contain multi-building or complex controls projects. In this role, the Senior Controls PM will be expected to mentor team members and act as a subject matter expert on HVAC controls for the business. What you will do Support sales functions by assisting with quote preparation and proposals Responsible for change order management by recommending solutions, facilitating quotes, and closing orders Support customer satisfaction initiatives by building customer relationships, investigating concerns, implementing corrective actions, and developing communication plans to keep stakeholders informed of project status Create and maintain project schedules generating tasks, dependencies, milestones, critical path, and identifying future planning needs and resource constraints Lead all aspects of project administration, including understanding contract clauses, risk mitigation of construction contract language, validating project scope, cost, schedule, managing compliance, documentation, safety guidelines, and developing and maintaining project schedules; participate in pre-bid validation meetings, hold internal meetings, and establish customer expectations Finance manage all aspects of projects, including cash flow, monthly forecasted cost/revenue, cost at completion, monitoring expenses, collections support, preparing and facilitating monthly project reviews, cost buy-out plans, analyzing reporting to identify deficiencies, and providing guidance on corrective action; knowledgeable on financial impacts when adjusting cost categories Collaborate with technicians, team leads, and other PMs to establish project tasks, schedules, communications, and review of plans, specifications, and control submittals Utilize properly qualified subcontractors, oversee subcontractor RFQ process, award subcontracts, manage subcontractor execution, collaborate with subcontractors to establish communication guidelines for progress, billing, safety, and foster professional relationships Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and assigned staff Other duties as assigned What you will bring Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Project Management Degree is a plus Combination of degree and/or 7-10 years of experience in HVAC Controls and Project Management Proficient at resource and manpower planning Experience leading teams with varying technical skill levels Preferred experience working with building owners Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to: DUI in the previous 5 years Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range $93,900.00 - $168,455.00 Compensation Type Salary Incentive Eligible Yes Sales Commission Eligible No Disclaimer We strive to provide competitive compensation for this position, tailored to a variety of factors.
