A great Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) is looking for an experienced, hard-working Physical Therapist Assistant to join their growing team in Bakersfield , CA. The PTA works under the direction of a Physical Therapists. Licensed physical therapist assistants possess a great deal of responsibility in providing treatment and rehabilitative services to patients who have experienced injury or disabling disease. Job Description Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act Assist patients in reaching his/her maximum functional performance while learning to live within his/her capabilities Uses technical skills to deliver care interventions and therapeutic modalities Provide patients with exercises, massages, electrical stimulation, paraffin baths, hot and cold packs, traction and ultrasound, among other assigned dutie Qualifications Must be a graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited school of physical therapy State License/registration in California CPR and basic lifesaving skills certification Additional Information We are looking for exceptional healthcare professionals.
