Work Environment

This position operates in a fully remote setting, allowing for flexibility while maintaining the connection and support necessary for effective therapy. The outpatient nature of our services means you will engage primarily with clients through virtual sessions, utilizing teletherapy technologies to conduct assessments, therapy sessions, and follow-ups while adhering to ethical and professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine the intensity, frequency, and duration of clients' mood disorder symptoms, ensuring accurate diagnoses and treatment planning.
• Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs, personal goals, and preferences, using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care practices, fostering a better understanding of mental health and wellness.
• Monitor client progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as needed to reflect changes in symptoms and outcomes.
• Work in partnership with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care for clients with co-occurring conditions.
• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in the field of mood disorders to enhance treatment efficacy.
• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of client records in strict compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development opportunities to continually enhance therapeutic skills.
• Advocate for client needs and champion the destigmatization of mental health issues within diverse communities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with individuals dealing with mood disorders, which may include those experiencing severe anxiety, depression, and trauma-related issues. We also serve specialized populations such as homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence, providing crucial support and intervention strategies tailored to their specific situations.

Qualifications

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is essential for this role.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster a secure therapeutic relationship with clients.
• A nonjudgmental and empathetic approach to client experiences, ensuring a safe space for vulnerable discussions.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
