Job Description
Title: Medical Assistant - Gastroenterology

Schedule: Five 8-hour day shifts

Requirements:
- MA-C credential
- BLS certification
- At least 3 years of experience; candidates with 2 years may be considered during initial screening
- Reliable personal transportation
- Compact license in hand at submission
- Two references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform in-basket management and telephone triage
- Manage medication prior authorizations
- Room patients and obtain vitals
- Conduct point-of-care testing and specimen labeling
- Assist with immunizations and suture removals

Compliance / Notes:
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 holidays if required
- No front desk or check-in duties
- Background checks required; facility does not accept Nursys or background hits
- No Call/No Show may disqualify candidates across the health system
