This role is essential in creating a safe, organized, and compassionate environment for patients.Reports To: Director, Outpatient Services | Clinic Office ManagerHourly Range: $19.50 – $31.97 (posted hourly range excludes overtime and bonuses which are not guaranteed)Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical proceduresTake and record vital signs, medical histories, and patient information accuratelyCommunicate effectively with providers and administrative teams to ensure continuity of careMaintain clean, organized, and well-stocked exam roomsDocument patient care and maintain accurate patient records in electronic health record (EHR) systemsServe as the primary point of contact for patients regarding scheduling, care plans, and general inquiriesEducate patients on treatment plans, procedures, and next steps in a clear and compassionate mannerVerify insurance information and assist with pre-authorizations as neededFollow infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines at all timesAssist with front desk tasks, including patient check-in and check-outHandle phone calls, messages, and patient inquiries as neededSupport inventory management and ordering of medical suppliesSupport quality improvement initiatives related to patient experienceParticipate in staff meetings, training, and continuing educationPerforms other duties as assignedHigh school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred. Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred or required per clinic policy1–3 years of experience in a clinical or medical office setting preferred. Experience with EHR systems and basic clinical procedures preferredThis position requires lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to fifty (50)+ pounds while administering care to patients. Stooping, kneeling and/or crouching daily in delivery of patient care. Standing and walking for more than five (5) hours per day; running occasionally in responding to patient care emergencies.Environmental hazards such as chemicals, solvents, needles, needle containers, sharps, blood, body fluids, various infectious/communicable diseases, infectious medical waste, radiation, and/or radioactive materials and/or radioactive waste, proximity to moving mechanical parts. Protective clothing/equipment may be necessary.Aligns with CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) for Healthcare PersonnelHepatitis B- Lab evidence of immunity (titer) to Hepatitis B or three doses Hep B vaccine at appropriate intervalsInfluenza- documentation of current seasonal flu vaccine (mandatory from November 1st through March 31st each year)Measles, Mumps, and Rubella - Lab evidence of immunity (titer) to Measles, Mumps, and Rubella or 2 doses of MMR VaccinationVaricella (chickenpox) - Lab evidence of immunity (titer) to Varicella or 2 doses of Varicella VaccineTetanus, diphtheria, pertussis (Tdap) - documented proof of immunizationTuberculosis Screening - Documentation of a two-step TB skin test within the past year OR lab verification of a negative TB Gold or T-Spot tuberculin test within the past 6 monthsVaccine records or evidence of immunity are required prior to 1st day of scheduled work.
