Paralegal

Position Summary

An Indianapolis law firm is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to support attorneys across multiple practice areas, including estate planning, probate administration, estate tax and real estate law. The ideal candidate will possess strong legal research skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while providing outstanding client service in a professional legal environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with the preparation, drafting, and filing of legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, contracts, estate planning documents, and probate filings.
• Conduct legal research and compile information relevant to cases, transactions, and client matters.
• Maintain case files, organize documentation, and ensure accuracy of records and deadlines.
• Communicate professionally with clients, courts, governmental agencies, and third parties.
• Assist with probate and estate administration matters, including gathering and organizing financial and legal records.
• Coordinate attorney calendars, meetings, court dates, and client appointments.
• Monitor and track case deadlines to ensure compliance with court rules and legal requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality of client information and sensitive legal matters.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent legal experience preferred.
• Previous experience in a law firm or legal environment strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and document preparation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff.
• High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
