Position Overview: Kents Hill Sports Camp is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Boat Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating our boats, pulling tubers and waterskiers, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for campers. You will play a vital role in creating memorable and thrilling watersport activities that contribute to the overall camp experience.

Responsibilities:

• Operate motorboats safely and responsibly, adhering to all boating regulations and camp policies.
• Safely tow campers on tubes and waterskis, providing clear instructions and ensuring their well-being.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip boat inspections, including equipment checks and maintenance.
• Assist in the maintenance and care of boats, trailers, and water sports equipment.
• Instruct campers on proper watersports techniques and safety procedures.
• Monitor and enforce water safety guidelines to maintain a secure environment.
• Serve as a positive role model for campers, promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and enthusiasm.

Qualifications:

• Valid boating license or certification (such as boating safety course completion) preferred.
• Strong boating skills and experience driving motorboats for towing watersports.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices for watersports activities.
• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-energy and fast-paced situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in giving clear instructions to campers.

2: Assistant Facility Manager and Driver

Position Overview: Kents Hill Sports Camp is seeking a versatile and dependable individual for the role of Assistant Facility Manager and Driver. This position will assist with various facility maintenance tasks, perform handy work, and also be responsible for driving locally to run errands and provide transportation for airport runs. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and efficient camp environment.

Responsibilities: Facility Management:

• Assist in the maintenance and repairs of camp facilities, including buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• Perform general handy work
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas.
• Communicate effectively with the Facility Manager and other team members to ensure efficient operations.

Driving and Errands:

• Provide transportation for airport runs, picking up and dropping off campers and staff as needed.
• Run local errands, such as purchasing supplies, equipment, or groceries for camp.
• Maintain accurate records of mileage and expenses related to driving duties.
• Ensure the safe and responsible operation of camp vehicles.
• Adhere to camp policies and safety protocols during transportation and errand runs.

Qualifications:

• Experience in general maintenance, repairs, or handy work is preferred.
• Basic knowledge and skills in painting, carpentry, plumbing
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with limited supervision.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Familiarity with local areas and ability to navigate efficiently.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong attention to detail.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.
