Regional Director - ASC Operations

POSITION SUMMARY
The Regional Director will hold full P&L accountability for ambulatory surgical centers in their market and will provide oversight and relationship management to the physician partners at each facility. Leading a management team of site CEOs/Administrators and staff, the Regional Director will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans, creating new business both organically and through acquisition partnerships, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality clinical services. The role leads through growth and change to deliver strong financial results and plays a major part in the organization’s growth aspirations in the region.LOCATION
One candidate is sought for the Central California region. Candidates may reside in Bakersfield, Delano, Hanford, Reedley, Selma, Tulare, or other surrounding cities.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Exhibit leadership, strategy, and direction while supporting all aspects of ASC operations. Actively engage with physicians and industry leaders, presenting partnership value propositions and managing competing business interests. Serve as a team player and administer support to guide policies, procedures, and strategic planning efforts. Drive revenue growth by collaborating with business development, managed care, and clinical departments. Provide strategic guidance on new contracts, negotiating and approving agreements as needed. Develop, execute, and drive innovative marketing and development plans to support growth and profitability. Overcome challenges in a competitive, complex, and highly regulated market to introduce successful business models tailored to the region. Ensure compliance with healthcare and commercial regulations and all State Regulatory Agencies (eg. Certificate of Occupancy, AAAHC). Assist in budget development and contribute to expense‑reduction strategies, locally and regionally. Other duties as assigned. All functions are performed according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, and applicable professional standards, consistently demonstrating core and leadership behaviors.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience is required. Minimum of five to seven years of progressive experience in general management and strong financial acumen within the healthcare industry. Experience with strategic planning and business development across various markets, growing and scaling an innovative service-oriented business model, fiscal management, business finance, capital funding, contracts, partnerships, corporate governance, risk management, and leadership with a focus on mentoring and motivating a professional team.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Additional education focused in Business Management, Healthcare Administration, or related fields is preferred.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENT FACTORS
Requires extensive sitting with periodic standing and walking. May need to lift up to 20 pounds. Requires significant use of computer, phone, and general office equipment. Requires adequate visual acuity and ability to grasp and handle objects. Requires ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on telephone.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides supervision to assigned ASC leadership including but not limited to ASC CEOs and DONs.TYPE OF SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has full managerial scope and authority for employment actions, including coaching, candidate selection, training and development, performance appraisals, work assignments, and disciplinary action.SCOPE AND COMPLEXITY
The position oversees designated centers with accountability for other locations as needed, driving overall strategic development for market-wide initiatives.BENEFITS
