Registered Nurse Mother Baby / Postpartum

Job Summary:

The Postpartum and Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Antepartum (LDRP) nurse will provide comprehensive care to women throughout labor, delivery, postpartum, and neonatal support. This role demands bedside nursing expertise, clinical proficiency, and the ability to support a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Deliver direct patient care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages, ensuring safety and comfort.
  
  
• 
  Circulate in the operating room for cesarean sections, assisting with sterilization, positioning, and documentation.
  
  
• 
  Coordinate care and monitor patient status using updated HillRom and GE equipment and the Expanse EMR system.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients and their families on postpartum and neonatal care best practices.
  
  
• 
  Follow unit policies and procedures, including adherence to AWHONN guidelines and safety protocols.
  
  
• 
  Support a collaborative team environment, providing energetic and compassionate patient support.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Possess a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery or Postpartum care.
  
  
• 
  Hold current and active NRP, AWHONN FM, BLS, and ACLS certifications.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate the ability to circulate in the OR for cesarean deliveries.
  
  
• 
  Exhibit strong communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills.
  
  
• 
  Be able to adapt to rotating weekends and holiday shifts with flexibility.
  
  
• 
  Maintain compliance with hospital and unit-specific policies and dress code.
