Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed.Resident Support: Provide meal assistance to residents as needed, including helping with meal setup and serving, and ensuring a positive dining experience.Food Safety: Follow all food safety protocols, including proper food storage, handling, and sanitation practices, to ensure food is safe for consumption.Inventory Support: Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies, checking inventory, and notifying the Dietary Manager of any shortages or supply needs.Team Collaboration: Work closely with the dietary team to ensure the kitchen and dining areas run smoothly, assisting with food prep and meal service as directed.Resident Engagement: Assist in fulfilling special dietary requests and ensuring residents’ individual preferences and needs are met during meal times.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent (required)Previous experience in a food service role (preferred, but not required)Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practicesAbility to follow directions and work efficiently as part of a teamCompassion for and a desire to work with the elderlyExcellent communication and customer service skillsIf you’re dedicated to helping seniors enjoy nutritious meals and want to make a positive impact, apply today to join the Ahoskie House team!
