Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 3-5 years of MRI experience and proficiency with both GE and Siemens scanners for a fast-paced, multi-scanner imaging department.

Details

Work in a dynamic MRI department with 6 scanners (5 currently operating), a mix of GE and Siemens equipment.

Perform advanced imaging procedures including cardiac, functional, neuro, body, musculoskeletal, and specialty exams.

Patient population includes outpatient, inpatient, and ED patients with implantable devices, neuro, oncology, musculoskeletal, ventilated, sedated, whole body, and cardiac cases.

Weekly census of 250-300 patients with 1:1 patient ratios.

Uses GE Discovery 750W, Siemens Aera, Siemens Magnetom Skyra, and McKesson PACS.

EPIC EMR experience required.

Monday-Friday evening shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.

Weekend on-call rotation approximately every 8 weeks, including on-site Saturday hours with a compensatory weekday off.

On-call hours Saturday and Sunday 2100-0630, with backup on-call Saturday and Sunday 0630-2100 and a 30-minute response time.

Weekly rotating responsibility for first-shift backup on-call.

No floating required - MRI only.

Requirements

BLS and ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification required.

License required if applicable.

3-5 years of MRI experience required.

GE and Siemens scanner experience required.

Experience with implantable devices, neuro, oncology, musculoskeletal, ventilated, sedated, whole body patients required; cardiac MRI experience preferred.

EPIC EMR experience required.

Minimum 12 months of core MRI experience, with most recent experience within the last year.

Additional Information

Located in Milwaukee, WI at a Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, Magnet-designated, Primary Stroke Center facility with 933 beds.

Work alongside a team of experienced Technologists and Imaging Assistants in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Traveler will never work alone and will have support from a Lead Tech/Coordinator and Imaging Assistants.

3 days of orientation provided.

Weekend rotation maximum every 3rd weekend.

Holiday coverage based on unit needs.

Scrubs may be any professional color.

Free parking available.

First-time travelers will be considered for this position.

Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restrictions.

Former employees of Advocate Health or its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before becoming eligible for travel assignments.
