We are actively seeking experienced Affordable Housing Assistant Property Managers for opportunities in Minneapolis, Minnesota . The ideal candidate will have experience with affordable housing compliance, resident relations, leasing support, recertifications, and property operations. We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and passionate about helping communities succeed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Property Manager with the daily operations of an affordable housing community
• Support leasing activities including prospect follow-up, tours, applications, move-ins, move-outs, and resident retention initiatives
• Process certifications, annual recertifications, interim recertifications, renewals, and income verifications accurately and on time
• Maintain resident files and ensure compliance with LIHTC, Section 8, HUD, Tax Credit, HOME, and Fair Housing regulations
• Conduct file audits and assist with compliance reviews and regulatory inspections
• Handle resident inquiries, concerns, and requests while delivering exceptional customer service
• Assist with rent collections, delinquency follow-up, notices, payment agreements, and accounts receivable
• Manage waitlists, occupancy goals, and leasing performance metrics
• Coordinate maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution of resident concerns
• Maintain accurate reporting and documentation using property management software
• Support community marketing efforts, resident events, and retention programs
• Assist with monthly reporting, budgeting support, and operational goals

Qualifications

• 1+ year of Assistant Property Manager, Leasing Consultant, Property Management, Affordable Housing, or Multifamily Housing experience preferred
• Affordable Housing experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, Tax Credit, HOME, and Fair Housing regulations
• Experience processing certifications, recertifications, income calculations, and compliance documentation preferred
• Experience with file audits, compliance reviews, and resident file management preferred
• Strong administrative, organizational, and multitasking abilities
• Excellent customer service, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
• Experience using Yardi, RealPage, OneSite, ResMan, MRI, Entrata, AppFolio, or similar property management software
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
