Sales & Business Development Intern

Looking for a flexible internship where you'll gain real-world business and sales experience while working around your class schedule? Our agency is seeking a motivated, outgoing Sales & Business Development Intern to support our team by connecting with prospective customers, qualifying leads, and scheduling appointments for our licensed team members. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in sales, business, marketing, communications, finance, or entrepreneurship who want hands-on experience in a professional office.

Position Details

• Part-time (10-15 hours per week)
• Flexible scheduling around classes
• Fall 2026 and/or Spring 2027 internship opportunities
• Paid internship
• Potential for future employment opportunities based on performance

What You'll Do

• Make outbound calls to warm leads and prospective customers
• Build rapport and engage in friendly, professional conversations
• Qualify prospects and identify potential insurance needs
• Schedule appointments for licensed team members
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions
• Work closely with the team to support agency growth and customer outreach

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled in a college or university (preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable talking with people over the phone
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
• Dependable and professional
• Sales, customer service, or leadership experience is a plus but not required

• I have been a State Farm agent since 2019.
• We currently have 5 team members at our agency.
