We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team and help shape the Future of PBM Technology. As a Software Engineer 2, you will be building a brand-new Pharmacy Eligibility application. This will involve modernizing legacy components, improved resiliency and performance, and enhanced backend workflows. The goal is to ensure our members get their claims adjudicated in a timely manner. ** This is a remote work opportunity, but you must work within one hour of Louisville, KY, Dallas, TX or Nashville, TN for occasional meetings, work sessions or conferences. ** We are looking for someone who enjoys collaborating, learning new technologies, coaching other engineers, and leading the development of reliable, enterprise-grade applications. The Software Engineer 2 responsibilities include the following: Design, build, and deliver high-quality software solutions that enhance healthcare and wellness experiences. Participate across the full development lifecycle, including coding, testing, debugging, optimizing, and deploying production-ready systems. Improve engineering quality through robust testing strategies, tooling, automation, and adherence to standards. Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams, partnering with product, architecture, and quality assurance to create solutions aligned with business and consumer needs. Serve as a technical authority, driving architectural direction, elevating engineering quality, and delivering scalable applications that support healthcare outcomes. This role will get some direction from a Senior Software Engineer and is well-suited for individuals seeking opportunities in cutting-edge technology, including the use of AI tools such as Claude code or GitHub Copilot. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field 3+ years of experience in systems analysis or application programming development Experience in PySpark, Databricks and Cloud engineering Experience deploying and maintaining Cloud based applications using Azure App Service or Azure Kubernetes Service Experience with relational databases at scale Knowledge of server-side languages .Net, .Net Core or .Net Framework 7.0 and higher Experience with CI/CD software development methodology Experience with PostgreSQL or MS-SQL Experience with Kafka Streaming platform Experience with a modern, client-side framework such as Angular, React or Vue Work-At-Home Requirements To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria: wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense. The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. 80,900 - $110,300 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
