Practical Nurse (Outpatient)

DutiesHelpUpdate patient medical records within an automated healthcare system.Obtain all vital signs such as: blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations, pain level, height, weight, measurement of head circumference, and length; and perform ambulatory intake screenings.Perform direct nursing care to clinic patients via telemedicine, virtual, and face-to-face care to include triage, procedures, nurse-managed protocols, medication management.Prepare and deliver oral, topical, and injectable forms while monitoring for and responding to side effects or adverse reactions.Educate patients and/or family regarding self-care procedures and documents teaching.Document patients' chief complaints and other pertinent information in the health record.Review laboratory results and bring abnormal results to attention of physician.Provide individualized nursing care to patients based upon the physician's medical care plan, the nursing assessment, and the physical, mental, and emotional needs of the patient.
