Responsibilities Repair and overhaul refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment, including compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and electrical and mechanical control devices. Perform general repair work on refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment such as air conditioning units, evaporative condensers, ice machines, water pumps, gas furnaces, compressors, and electric motors. Conduct preventative maintenance by diagnosing equipment malfunctions and operating deficiencies. Test malfunctioning systems and components using electrical and/or mechanical skills. Maintain accurate corporate and personal records of work history. Support the department by processing job tickets and work orders promptly. Assist with picking up, delivering, and installing cases. Work on minor construction and remodeling projects, including startup of new installations. Operate company vehicle safely. Perform other related duties and projects as assigned by management. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. EPA certification. Certification from an accredited vocational‑technical or trade school (plus). Minimum 5+ years of commercial refrigeration experience required. Experience with refrigeration equipment in convenience stores or supermarkets is a strong plus. Familiarity with single systems and rack systems, including display cases and walk‑in boxes. Good driving record and ability to work independently. Emergency on‑call availability (basic requirement). Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. without assistance and to sit/stand for several hours at a time. EEO Statement CoolSys is an EEO/AA Employer.
