Job Title: Toolmaker Location: Latrobe, PA Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $45,760.00 - $54,080.00 Contractor Work Model: Onsite – onsite Hours: 40.0 Responsibilities Complete mold repairs and modifications necessary for the production of acceptable molded plastic products. Troubleshoot and recommend solutions for problem molds assigned by the Director of Tech Services. Set up and operate all tool room equipment using very close tolerances. Read mold drawings or hand sketches to complete repairs or tool modifications. Perform mold cleaning and rework according to facility procedures. Maintain proper records of activities on molds and time required to complete jobs. Handle special project assignments and report results to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager verbally and in writing. Keep updated files on all projects. Report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager regarding relevant matters. Requirements Four-year tool and die apprenticeship (U.S. Department of Labor-approved). Ability to troubleshoot and repair molds with high precision. Experience reading mold drawings or sketches. Knowledge of mold cleaning and rework procedures. Strong record‑keeping skills. Excellent communication and reporting skills. Commitment to safety standards and manufacturing policies.
