Our success is built on a foundation of quality, customer care, and—most importantly—our people, whose skill and teamwork drive us forward every day.Responsible for performing precision machining operations to manufacture, repair, or modify metal components according to exact specifications.Key Responsibilities:Perform precision machining operations, including drilling, tapping, boring, milling, and lathe work, using horizontal and vertical mills, engine lathes, and horizontal boring mills.Set up and execute tool post grinding operations, broaching procedures, and babbitt bearing work.Apply metalizing (metal spraying) techniques as required for component repair or enhancement.Use a wide range of handheld and stationary power and non-power tools such as band saws, belt sanders, grinders, and files.Record all data necessary to produce accurate service and design results, including measurements, sizing, and illustrations.Use measuring devices and techniques correctly to ensure proper dimensions and tolerances.Balance mechanical assemblies using dynamic balancing equipment.Demonstrate an understanding of materials, their properties, and appropriate applications.Lift, tighten, adjust, and secure heavy objects safely while following all required safety procedures.Use proper personal protective equipment at all times, with particular emphasis on eye and ear protection.Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area as directed by the supervisor.Assist other machinists with skilled or non-skilled tasks as directed by the manager or lead.Support other departments with assigned duties, both skilled and non-skilled.RequirementsEducation & Experience:High school diploma or GED required.3 years of experience in manual machining within a manufacturing, repair, or service environment.Strong technical skills in operating manual mills, lathes, grinders, and related shop equipment, along with the ability to interpret blueprints, use precision measuring tools, and maintain tight tolerances.Proficiency in operating manual mills, lathes, grinders, and related equipment.Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.Familiarity with precision measuring tools and maintaining tight tolerances.Additional Requirements:Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.Solid understanding of shop safety practices and equipment operation.Effective communication and teamwork skills.
