Director of Driver Recruiting

AGM Transport, an asset-based carrier in Joliet, IL, is hiring a Director of Driver Recruiting to build and lead our CDL-A driver recruiting department. You'll manage recruiters, own hiring and retention results, and report directly to executive leadership.This is not a recruiter position " it's a leadership role for someone who has already run a driver recruiting team at a carrier and wants the authority to build something better.What You'll Do:Lead the recruiting teamManage, coach, and develop a team of CDL driver recruitersSet performance standards and run weekly coaching and performance reviewsBuild recruiting processes, call scripts, and playbooks from the ground upOwn driver hiring resultsIncrease qualified CDL-A driver hires and lead-to-seat conversionReduce cost per hire and improve recruiter productivityImprove 30/60/90-day driver retentionBuild recruiting strategyOwn the recruiting budget and lead source mix (job boards, agencies, referrals, digital marketing)Develop new lead generation strategies and improve recruiting marketing ROIPartner with Operations, Safety, and Executive Leadership on hiring plansDrive performance through dataTrack and improve: leads generated, contact rates, application completion, orientation attendance, drivers seated, cost per hire, retention, and recruiter performanceRequirements:5+ years of CDL-A driver recruiting experience at a trucking carrier3+ years managing recruiters or recruiting teamsProven, measurable results leading a recruiting department (hires, conversion, cost per hire)Experience with Tenstreet or a similar driver recruiting ATSStrong coaching and leadership skills; data-driven decision makerPreferred Experience:Experience managing remote or international teamsHubSpot or similar CRM experienceDriver recruiting marketing / lead generation experienceExperience leading teams of 5+ recruitersCompensation & Benefits:Base salary: $110,000-$130,000 (based on experience)Performance bonus tied to drivers seated, 60/90-day retention, cost per hire, and department performanceHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time offLeadership development opportunitiesWhy This Role Is DifferentMost recruiting leadership jobs maintain a process.
