The Environmental Services Team at Givens Estates, a leading continuing care retirement community in Asheville, has a Full-Time Floor Care Technician position available. The primary purpose of your job position is to provide environmental /laundry services to the residents and employees for Givens Estates, to maintain the appearance of the campus so that it is presentable at all times, and to assure that the highest degree of quality care will be provided to our residents at all times. The schedule for this position is 5 days per week, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm working every other weekend, and every other Holiday.

What you'll do:

• Perform floor care services as assigned by the ES Supervisor
• Perform all interior window cleaning in areas such as Commons/Lobby and Entrances
• Report to ES Supervisor any concerns of daily housekeeping operations or safety issues campus wise
• Maintain proper cleaning on equipment daily and report any repair needs with ES Supervisor
• Report to the ES Supervisor or other appropriate staff any concerns of safety or health that may exist in work area including maintenance problems
• Wear proper personal protective equipment and follow departmental policy of using only OSHA approved chemicals with SDS on file
• Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as-needed basis by an authorized supervisor

What you'll need:

• Six months previous experience in related position is preferred
• Must possess knowledge of general floor care/housekeeping procedures and operations of equipment

Compensation: $19.25 - $20.25 per hour based on background and experience, plus our comprehensive benefits package! Additionally, we are offering a $1,000 Sign-On Bonus to be paid out in increments over your first year of employment.
