Position Summary The Consumer & Life Sciences Regulatory Specialist provides regulatory support for customers across the consumer and life sciences markets. This role is responsible for analyzing and interpreting regulatory and functional requirements related to ingredient and product data. Brief Description This position sits at the intersection of product data integrity, regulatory compliance, and product stewardship, ensuring that product information, regulatory classifications, and compliance processes are accurate, scalable, and aligned with evolving domestic and international regulations. This is not a manufacturing or quality assurance role. Instead, the position focuses on supporting commercial teams, supply chain operations, and customers by maintaining high‑quality product compliance across a diverse, multi‑supplier portfolio. Essential Tasks Of The Position Maintain and manage regulatory product classifications and compliance documentation Ensure products, dietary supplements, and food ingredients meet all applicable legal and regulatory requirements in domestic and international markets Provide regulatory support for products used in food, personal care, pharmaceutical, and life sciences applications Review marketing materials and product claims to ensure regulatory compliance Secure and maintain product registrations, certifications, and supporting documentation as required Maintain current knowledge of FDA, GFSI, FSMA, and other applicable consumer and life sciences regulatory frameworks Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure regulatory alignment and documentation accuracy for regulated end markets Support compliance initiatives related to DOT, REACH, OSHA, HACCP, HARPC, TSCA, and related regulations Maintain familiarity with GRAS certifications and exemptions Monitor changes in legislation and assess potential impacts on the company’s product portfolio Serve as a liaison between the company and regulatory agencies, providing guidance to internal stakeholders as needed Respond to customer inquiries regarding product regulations, specifications, and compliance requirements Support nutrition labeling compliance and related documentation Lead and support special projects as assigned by the Compliance Director and Chief Compliance Officer Quality Activities of the position affect quality objectives. Responsibilities and authorities include where appropriate: Prevent nonconformities. Identify, document, and address nonconformities and corrective actions. Recommend and verify solutions through proper channels. Follow all company policies, procedures, and work instructions. Strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements within food, nutrition, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industries. Knowledge of nutrition labeling requirements and related regulatory standards. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. Ability to work cross‑functionally with internal teams, suppliers, and customers. Requirements Education Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field preferred. Equivalent industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Experience 2–4 years of experience in regulatory affairs within the food, nutritional, pharmaceutical, or related industries. Experience with hazardous materials regulations and compliance frameworks such as DOT, REACH, OSHA, HACCP, and HARPC preferred. Knowledge/Skills Intermediate level of expertise in MS Office and Contact Management Software. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to maintain professional conduct that exemplifies the corporate policies at all times, particularly when interacting directly with internal and external customers. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion. Detail oriented with strong, accurate clerical skills. Proficient at multi-tasking. Proactive problem solver. Highly motivated. Physical Requirements Satisfactory motor skills relevant to position. Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to twenty-five pounds.
