Yield Accounting Analyst

The Role

Reporting to the Yield Accounting Manager at the Hawaii refinery, this position will be responsible for leading specific processes and supporting other yield and volumetric analysis for the Kapolei, Hawaii assets. This position will also participate extensively in process improvement efforts in the yield accounting department.

As part of your specific responsibilities, in the following areas, you will:

• Collaborate with refinery leadership to understand the daily and monthly volumetric planning and actual results.
• Accurately capture and log all inventories, receipts, shipments, and transfers in yield accounting software to maintain the integrity of the company's volumetric positions at our largest refinery.
• Enter daily movements from the refineries yield accounting software to SAP while communicating and coordinating those movement with key customers and refinery personnel.
• Calculate and validate daily refinery consumption and production in yield accounting software while research discrepancies and coordinating corrective measures.
• Record, track, and reconcile multiple crudes as well as refined and intermediate products from consumption to production to transport and sales.
• Reconcile the inventory of crude and finished products in SAP with on-site and off-site parties to ensure the accuracy of Par's inventory positions.
• Interface with third party inspectors to ensure all movements and reports are accurately recorded.
• Reconcile actuals to forecasted crude consumption to finish product production within the refinery and with outside pipelines and terminals.
• Stay abreast of deviations to operation's plan and account for outage impacts.
• Play a key role in meeting a variety of yield accounting deadlines such as the closing of Par's accounting books.
• Manage complex government terminal inventories and associated reporting obligations.
• Must clearly communicate and work collaboratively in a team setting.
• Must manage multiple and competing priorities efficiently.
• Ensure consistent adherence to the company's policy and procedures.
• Complete special projects and other duties, as assigned.

• You will provide key services in the inventory processes giving you exposure to several different regions and their associated processes.
• You will enjoy exposure to the Commercial and Accounting teams as well as to or multi-state operations that stretch across Wyoming, Washington, and Hawaii.
• You will have the opportunity to learn and grow into new areas such as SAP (our financial ERP system) and our financial analysis processes.

The Requirements

To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. To be a good fit for the Yield Accounting Analyst opportunity, you will have:

• Bachelor's degree in business related field or equivalent experience required.
• 3+ years' experience working in the refining, chemical or terminal business a plus.
• Yield and/or inventory accounting experience preferred.
• Sigmafine or other volumetric balancing software experience a plus.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Must be proficient with MS Excel, Outlook and Word
• Must have strong analytical, communication and time management skills

Pay Range:

$63,055 - $94,583 plus non-discretionary bonus
