Hardware Test Engineer

Augmented Reality / Virtual Reality Hardware Test EngineerThe vendor will support electrical / connectivity hardware test engineering for augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) glasses and headsets. Main responsibilities include bringing up evaluation boards, Core VMO 2 EVBs, debugging problems, testing and validating EVBs and form factor units in accordance with project plans.Recommended Requirements:At least 3 years of experience in test and validation with automation skillsKnowledge of one or more programming languages / front end development tools for test automation: Python, C/C++/C#, SQL, JavaScriptRecommended Background:Bachelor's degree in Electrical EngineeringElectrical engineering with focus on bench validation, debug, and test automationFamiliarity with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, WiFi / BT testers, shield chambers)Comfortable with rework, including solderingFamiliarity and ability to debug problems related to electrical interfaces including PCIE, MIPI, UART and othersExperience reviewing schematics and layout for general EE designsExperience with WiFi / BT protocols and regulatory standardsFamiliar with simulation tools for Si/Pi and RF / AntennaDC power model and validation of battery life and thermal modelsTop Skills: Lab Experience, Hardware Test, Electrical Engineering background
