About the Position

Job Title: Nursing Float Pool RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: RN Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12hr Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 1.5 Years License: RN License Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: - Experience with SERVO and HFOV vents, traches, chest tubes, inhaled nitric oxide (iNO) - Knowledge of umbilical and arterial lines, drips, NG, G-tube, and enteral feeds Description: Position involves traveling to multiple campuses. Assignments are posted 90-120 minutes prior to shift start. The facility is a Magnet Client with a Level 1 Trauma designation. Patient types include premature infants and unstable newborns requiring medical care and surgical intervention. Patient ratios are 1 RN to 2 patients. There are no CNAs on the unit. Charge Nurse is free-floating. Respiratory Therapy is available 24/7. Neonatologists are available 24/7. Each patient has a personal stethoscope for infection prevention. The charting system is Epic. Due to current census, NICU RNs have not been floating. There may be an opportunity to float to the pediatric inpatient unit if appropriate. Floating to another NICU within the system is an option but not an expectation. Weekend rotation is every 3rd weekend. Holidays require manager approval for time off. Scrubs are provided for infection prevention.
