About the Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Analyst to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for supporting the accurate and timely processing of payroll for a growing workforce while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

The ideal candidate will have payroll processing experience, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy. What You'll Do

• Process weekly and biweekly payroll for 300+ employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Audit and review timesheets, payroll adjustments, and pay records to ensure compliance with company policies.
• Manage payroll-related deductions, including garnishments, tax levies, and other authorized withholdings.
• Administer and maintain the electronic timekeeping system, ensuring accurate transfer of data between timekeeping and payroll platforms.
• Review payroll changes and transactions for proper approvals and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with payroll tax filings and payroll-related reporting requirements.
• Prepare payroll-related journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries.
• Maintain payroll records while ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
• Support internal audits and payroll process improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
• Accounting degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2+ years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience working with integrated payroll and accounting systems.
• Strong understanding of payroll regulations and payroll tax requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and consistently meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with payroll reconciliations and general ledger postings.
• Knowledge of payroll tax reporting and compliance.
• Experience with electronic timekeeping systems.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications.
• Ability to identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.
